How Can I Find a New Doctor for My Child?

We just moved, and I'm looking for a doctor for my child. Where should I begin?

When you need to find a new doctor for your child, you can: 

  • Ask your child’s former doctor for a recommendation in your new area. 
  • Ask friends, neighbors, or colleagues for recommendations.
  • Check with your health insurance for doctors in your network.
  • Get recommendations from area hospitals and medical schools.

When you have some names, check the websites of the doctors you’re considering and schedule meetings with them to find one who's right for your child.
