Volunteer at Akron Children's

Volunteers are a vital part of Akron Children’s. They help patients and families in many ways, including reading, entertaining baking cookies bedside and providing creative distractions for patients. In addition, they support departments by assisting with projects and running errands. We also have 4-legged volunteers through the Doggie Brigade™.

Volunteer Services opportunities at the Akron and Beeghly campuses, and beyond:

  • Adults
  • Teens (ages 16-18)
  • Doggie BrigadeTM

Volunteer placement is based on current position openings. Once accepted, you will be required to complete an online orientation. Our volunteers receive hands-on training for their assignment.
