What's a Headache?

Have you ever thought so hard that your brain started to hurt? A headache is not really a pain in your brain. Your brain tells you when other parts of your body hurt, but it can't actually feel pain. Most headaches happen in the nerves, blood vessels, and muscles that cover your head and neck.

There are different kinds of headaches, but tension headaches, migraines, and headaches that are part of another illness (like the flu or strep throat) are the most common.
