La neumonía es una infección de los pulmones que suele ser causada por un virus o una bacteria. Una persona con neumonía puede tener fiebre y tos, y resultarle difícil respirar. El médico puede decirte si tienes neumonía escuchando tus pulmones o mirando una radiografía de tu tórax. La neumonía puede ser grave. A veces, la persona que sufre de neumonía tiene que ser atendida en un hospital. Pero en la mayoría de los casos, el médico puede tratarla mientras la persona se mejora en su casa.
