Nicole Swain, PsyD, ABPP

Pediatric Psychologist

Dr. Swain is a pediatric psychologist at Akron Children’s Hospital. She’s been practicing since 2004 and with Akron Children’s since 2012. A graduate of Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, she completed a clinical child psychology, pediatric psychology internship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric psychology, pain management at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Swain has a special interest in treatment of children and adolescents with acute and/or chronic medical conditions, traumatic brain injury and rehabilitation psychology. She is certified by the American Board of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology and the American Board of Professional Psychology. She’s also a member of American Psychological Association, The Society of Pediatric Psychology and the Ohio Psychological Association. Additionally, she’s published several articles, abstracts and book chapters, and is an associate professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
