Nicole Kendel, MD, MSc joined Akron Children’s Hospital as a Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist in 2022. She received her doctor of medicine and master of medical science degrees from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Kendel completed her pediatric residency and a pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Kendel is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, American Society of Hematology, Children’s Oncology Group and the Foundation for Women & Girls with Blood Disorders and is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the Northeast Ohio Medical University. Special interests include: bleeding disorders in women, thrombotic disorders and vascular anomalies.
