Nicholas Nguyen, MD

Director, Pediatric Dermatology; Pediatric Dermatologist

Dr. Nguyen has been practicing since 2011. He joined Akron Children’s Hospital in 2016 and serves as the hospital’s director of pediatric dermatology. After graduating from The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences, he completed a pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, MO and a dermatology residency at the University of Colorado. He also went on to complete a pediatric dermatology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital Colorado. Dr. Nguyen has a special interest in acne scarring, atopic dermatitis, capillary malformations, eczema, hemangiomas, hidradenitis suppurativa, hirsutism, hyperhidrosis, keloids, port-wine stains, psoriasis, scars and vascular birthmarks.  He is board certified in dermatology. He’s contributed to numerous book chapters and publications and is a member of several professional organizations including the Society for Pediatric Dermatology and the American Academy of Dermatology.
