Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) affects a part of the body called the “autonomic nervous system.” It controls things you don’t have to think about – like your heartbeat and blood pressure.

Our clinic is the first and only clinic in northeast Ohio dedicated to the care of pediatric patients suffering from POTS.

About POTS Clinic

Kids with POTS might have:

  • Frequent feelings of dizziness
  • Fainting episodes
  • Headaches
  • A tired feeling all the time
  • A fast or fluttering heartbeat
  • Tingling or numb feelings in their body

These symptoms happen because the body can’t regulate blood pressure when a child moves from sitting to standing or moving.

Patients are seen by referral from a provider.
