Dr. Heksch is a pediatric endocrinologist in the Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology at Akron Children’s , where he’s been practicing since 2019. He earned his medical degree at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed a pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, where he previously served as a pediatric resident. Dr. Heksch has a special interest in muscular dystrophy and steroid adverse effects. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology. He’s a member of Pediatric Endocrine Society, Endocrine Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He’s contributed to a number of professional articles, presentations and research, and is a core faculty member for Akron Children’s’s pediatric residency program.
