Rihab Mohamed, MD

Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist; Medical Director, Partial Hospitalization Program

Dr. Mohamed is a child and adolescent psychiatrist and medical director of intensive services at Akron Children’s Hospital. She’s been practicing since 2003 and with Akron Children’s since 2011. She earned her medical degree from the University of Gezira Faculty of Medicine in Wad Medani, Sudan and completed a general psychiatry residency at MetroHealth System in Cleveland, Ohio. She went on to complete a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Mohamed has a special interest in mood disorders, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder and professional education. She is board-certified in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. She’s a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the American Medical Association. Additionally, Dr. Mohamed is a clinical assistant professor of psychiatry at Northeast Ohio Medical University and is fluent in English and Arabic.
