M. Cristina Victorio, MD

Director, Headache Program; Pediatric Neurologist

Dr. Victorio is a pediatric neurologist and director of the Headache Program at Akron Children’s Hospital, where she’s been practicing since 2008. After graduating from the University of the East in Manila, Philippines, she completed a residency in pediatrics at Akron Children’s and at Makati Medical Center in the Philippines. She also completed a fellowship in child neurology and headache medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Victorio has a special interest in headache, migraine, migraine variants, pseudotumor cerebri and infusion therapy for intractable headache. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with special qualification in child neurology, and is certified in headache medicine by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties. Dr. Victorio has authored numerous publications and contributed to dozens of presentations and research projects on topics related to neurology and headache. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Neurology and the American Headache Society. Dr. Victorio is also an associate professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
