Hand Therapy Certification Commission

Acquired and congenital hand or upper extremity disorders or injuries. This may include orthopedic injuries of shoulder, elbow, wrist or hand; nerve conditions involving the upper extremity including lacerations and brachial plexus injuries; birth deficits involving upper extremity including hand abnormalities as well as developmental concerns with hand use. Fabrication of custom splints/orthosis for fracture management, improving range of motion, or adaptive splints to improve a patient's functional ability. Special interest in using creative approaches to return or improve a pediatric patient’s quality of life including independence in all valued activities of daily living including leisure and sports.
