Jason Spivey, Sr., MD

Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Dr. Spivey is a child and adolescent psychiatrist and medical director of Inpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Akron Children’s, where he’s been practicing since 2013. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed a psychiatry residency at Summa Health System/Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center. He went on to complete a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and a forensic psychiatry fellowship at State University of New York (SUNY) – Upstate Medical University. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in general psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry and forensic psychiatry. He’s a member of the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, among other professional organizations. He’s also a clinical assistant professor of psychiatry at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
