Dr. Pennington is a physician assistant at Akron Children’s. He’s been practicing as an assistant since 2004 and with Akron Children’s since 2015. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa. and a doctoral degree from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Dr. Pennington has a special interest in pediatric neurology/neurosurgery, machine learning approaches for health care and computational neurobiology. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Dr. Pennington is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, as well as a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Society for Neuroscience.
