Daniel Smith, MD

Director, Myelomeningocele Clinic; Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician

Dr. Smith has been in practice since 2018. He is a developmental-behavioral pediatrician at Akron Children’s and director of the Myelomeningocele Clinic. After receiving his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University, he completed both his pediatric residency and fellowship in developmental-behavioral pediatrics at Akron Children’s. Dr. Smith has a special interest in autism, ADHD, behavioral problems, anxiety, depression, learning/academic challenges and spina bifida-related conditions. He is board certified is general pediatrics and developmental-behavioral pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Society for Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics. He’s also a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
