Dr. Khatib is a sports medicine physician and program director of the sports medicine fellowship at Akron Children’s Hospital. He’s been practicing at the hospital in pediatrics since 2015 and in sports medicine since 2017. After graduating from Northeast Ohio Medical University, he completed his pediatric residency and sports medicine fellowship at Akron Children’s Hospital. Dr. Khatib has a special interest in musculoskeletal injuries, concussions, joint and soft tissue injection and ultrasound-guided procedures, and sport-related illness and injuries. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatrics and sports medicine, and is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. Additionally, he’s a clinical associate professor at Northeast Ohio Medical University and a team physician for The University of Akron.
