Meet Sabrina Ben-Zion, MD, FAAP

Sabrina Ben-Zion, M.D. is Clinical Associate Professor at NEOMED. She is the Interim Program Director and an Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Residency Program and works as a general pediatrician at Akron Children’s Hospital. She received her medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago and completed her pediatric residency at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford. Sabrina is a native of California though now considers Ohio home after 20 years and enjoys time spent with her family including her husband and two children, traveling, and spending time outdoors.

She has held various national leadership positions within the Association of Pediatric Program Directors (APPD) including Chair of the Research and Scholarship Learning Community, and Chair of the Mid-America Region. She is also currently a member of APPD LESSON and the Residency Recruitment Action Team. She enjoys meeting students and applicants and sharing the benefits of training at a large, free-standing Children’s hospital!
