Dr. VandeKappelle is a pediatric cardiologist at Akron Children’s Hospital Heart Center where he’s been practicing since 2009. After graduating from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, he completed a residency in pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Ann and Robert Lurie Children’s Hosptial of Chicago. Dr. VandeKappelle has a special interest in pediatric cardiology and hyperlipidemia. He’s certified by the American Board of Pediatrics with a sub-board in pediatric cardiology and is a board member for the American Heart Association. He’s a clinical assistant professor at Northeast Ohio Medical University and an adjunct clinical assistant professor at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
