Dr. Abood is medical director of the clinical exercise physiology lab and a pediatric pulmonologist at Akron Children’s Hospital. He’s been practicing since 2018. He earned his medical degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa. and completed a residency in pediatrics at Riley Hospital for Children, Indiana University School of Medicine. He went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa. Dr. Abood has a special interest in cystic fibrosis, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, high-risk asthma, pulmonary function testing and cardiopulmonary exercise testing. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology. He’s a member of the American Thoracic Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Abood is also a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
