Meet Rami Karroum, MD, FASA
Dr. Karroum is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Akron Children’s. He’s been practicing since 2007. He earned his medical degree from Ain Shams University School of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt. He went on to complete an anesthesia residency and a pediatric anesthesia fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Karroum has a special interest in pediatric anesthesia, regional anesthesia, enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS), education and research. He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology with a subspecialty certification in pediatric anesthesiology. He’s a Fellow of the American Society of Anesthesiology and a member of the Ohio Society of Anesthesiologists, Society of Pediatric Anesthesia, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and the Society for Anesthesia Education. Dr. Karroum is also a clinical assistant professor of surgery at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
