Michael Mainwaring is the Vice President of Community Care at Akron Children’s Hospital. He is responsible for the operations of outpatient services based in the community, such as Akron Children’s network of 28 pediatric primary care practices.

Mainwaring was previously Vice President of Operations at the Aultman Medical Group in Canton. He has also served in leadership roles with University Hospitals of Cleveland and Cleveland Clinic.

After earning his bachelor’s degree in biology at Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania, he earned a master of business administration from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School Of Business. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Mainwaring and his wife, Anne, reside in Peninsula and have two adult children.
