She earned her bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio and a master’s degree from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Ky. She went on to complete a postgraduate physician assistant residency in neonatology at the University of Kentucky. Kara has a special interest in neonatology and is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
