Ira Taub, MD, FAAP

Dr. Taub is a pediatric cardiologist at Akron Children’s Heart Center. He’s been practicing since 2010 and with Akron Children’s since 2013. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business and The Albert Einstein College of Medicine in N.Y., he completed a pediatrics residency at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. He went on to complete a fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Taub has a special interest in congenital heart disease, sudden death prevention in the young, genetic and heritable cardiomyopathy, myocarditis and COVID-19 Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS_C). He’s board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatric cardiology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Cardiology. Additionally, he’s an assistant professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University, part of the board review lecture series for pediatric residents at Akron Children’s and is a training instructor for the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma.
