Dr. Waight is director of the cardiac catheterization lab and interventional cardiology at Akron Children’s Hosptial Heart Center, where he’s been practicing since 2003. After graduating from the University of Iowa, he completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of Chicago and a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Waight has a special interest in pediatric and congenital interventional cardiac catheterization. He’s board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics with a sub-board in pediatric cardiology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He’s a presenter and author of articles and book chapters on topics related to the heart and is an associate professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
