Dr. Potts is a pediatric hospitalist and the medical director of hospital-based services at Akron Children’s. She also serves as the hospital’s associate chair in the Department of Pediatrics and is the director of pediatric hospital medicine advance practice providers. Dr. Potts has been practicing since 2012 and with Akron Children’s since 2015. She earned her medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio and completed a residency in general pediatrics at Akron Children’s. She went on to complete a fellowship in global pediatric health service delivery at Boston Children’s Hospital in Boston, Mass. Dr. Potts has a special interest in global health and health equity. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics and in pediatric hospital medicine. Additionally, she is an associate professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University.  Dr. Potts was given the 2022 Outstanding Physician Award by the Advanced Practice Providers Awards Committee for her longstanding commitment to advanced practice providers.
