Kitsa's Story
My 10 year old son is a source of inspiration! He was 3 weeks early and spent 17 days in the NICU when he was born with respiratory distress. He had a developmental delay and when he was 4 he was diagnosed with Rhabdosarcoma in his soft pallet. He underwent 10 months of chemo and 4 weeks of radiation therapy. We went to 3 different hospitals over that period of time. He is now 5 years cancer free! When he was 6 he was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. He has had a wonderful team of doctors that have helped him continue to grow and thrive. I have had the best experience at Children's from Oncology to Neuropsych. Everything has been a learning experience and we are part of a great network of people in the Oncology world that have guided us throughout the process. We have been very fortunate to watch our son continue to grow!
