Katherine's Story
Emmett was born at 24 weeks, weighing 1 pound, 8 ounces. We spent 103 days in the NICU at Akron Children's. He was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at 3 months old. He has a few other issues due to extreme prematurity. We are currently involved with Occupational and Physical Therapy. Emmett has made strides with all his progress. He is currently taking daily medications to help with his spasticity. Emmett is about to be 2 years old and I couldn't imagine how incredible he would be. His rough start was a challenge for me because I didn't know what his future would hold. We consider every day a blessing!
