Program Information

Asking for a patient’s preferred race, ethnicity and language is part of a national campaign known as “We Ask Because We Care.” Collecting and analyzing this information helps us understand our patient’s needs and backgrounds so that we can provide the best care possible and be more culturally in-line with them. Accurate patient race and ethnicity data builds a foundation for improving health equity, and self-identification is the gold standard for accurate race and ethnicity reporting.
