Ronald McDonald House of Akron

Families interested in staying at the Ronald McDonald House of Akron can contact their social worker or visit the RMHC Northeast Ohio website to request a room. 

Amenities include: 

• Hotel-like room (sleeps up to four) with private bath, toiletries, linens and Wi-Fi 
• Spacious common areas including a living room, reading/game room and children’s play area 
• A large yard with seating, lawn areas and playground 
• Full service, no-charge laundry facilities and supplies 
• Fully prepared hot meals made available to guests starting at 5:30 pm daily. 
• Access to the kitchen and fully stocked pantry, snacks and coffee 24 hours per day 
• Resident refrigerator and pantry space to store personal food items 
• No-charge parking in the Akron Children’s Hospital Buchtel Street parking deck P3 during your stay 

New room requests are placed on a waiting list until eligibility requirements, background check clearance and scheduling are confirmed by RMHC Northeast Ohio staff. Please note the criminal background check can take 1-2 days to process. Room requests can be made up to seven days prior to your arrival.
