Information for Suppliers
Akron Children’s uses GHX Vendormate, an integrated supplier management program, to provide a safe, secure environment. This ensures that suppliers adhere to established requirements for conducting business with any Akron Children’s locations, including those who provide product service, education and other support on planned visits. All suppliers and care team members must adhere to this policy.
Supplier responsibilities
All suppliers must comply with the requirements listed below to do business with Akron Children’s and its member hospitals. Failure to do so may result in permanent suspension of privileges and access at any Akron location.
- Suppliers must comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations and all applicable government-sanctioned lists regarding the manufacture, sale and distribution of medical devices and supplies.
- Suppliers doing business onsite must:
- Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Complete, at their expense, registration in Vendormate and attest to required background checks, health screenings and immunizations, badging, vendor competencies, Akron policies, orientation and any site-specific requirements that may be included in vendor credentialing documents.
- Complete any new or outstanding credentialing requirements.
- Adhere to ID badging and sign-in procedures.
- Maintain as confidential any information regarding Akron, its patients, employees, organization, strategies, operations and finances.
- Acknowledge and follow all applicable Akron policies, including, but not limited to, those regarding code of conduct, compliance and conflicts of interest, confidentiality, bias and discrimination, and value analysis.
