Akron Children’s has again been named a top pediatric hospital in the United States, according to Newsweek’s Best Children’s Hospitals of 2025 list. This marks the third year Statista and Newsweek partnered to provide patients and families with a comprehensive resource to help them find the best children’s hospitals in the United States for their specific treatment needs.
Akron Children’s was recognized for its care in the following subspecialties:
- Cardiology & Cardiac Surgery
- Endocrinology
- Neonatology
- Orthopedics
“Our hospital exists to help kids grow up healthy and safe so they can live life to the fullest.” said Chris Gessner president and CEO of Akron Children’s. “Earning a place among America’s Best Children’s Hospitals 2025 reflects the incredible dedication of our caregivers and staff and serves as a reminder of the trust families place in us.
“Being recognized again as one of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals is an honor that speaks to the tireless efforts of our employees and medical staff,” he added. “Every day, they bring their many talents and compassion to ensure kids receive the highest quality care in an environment that is welcoming and accessible for all.”
Newsweek’s Best Children’s Hospitals rankings were determined by four data sources: a nationwide online survey, hospital quality metrics, results from patient experience surveys and patient reported outcome measures implementation surveys.
