Akron Children’s Women’s Board welcomes public to ‘Celebrate the Plate’ while supporting patient care

Tasty food, fun cocktails. A chance to gather with old friends and meet new ones at themed outings – all benefitting the patients at Akron Children’s. The Women’s Board of Akron Children’s invites you to Celebrate the Plate 2026.
This multi-week celebration of culinary fun, community and support for Akron Children’s runs April 12 to June 19 at various locations and features themed activities and menus.
“Celebrate the Plate, now in its 11th year, is the Women’s Board’s signature fundraiser,” said Kelly Clarke, event chairperson. “This year, our hosts have really come up with a variety of fun events that should appeal to a wide range of interests from golf and tennis to music, art, gardening, mahjong and more, all accompanied by good food and company. Best of all, 100 percent of the proceeds benefit patient care programs at Akron Children’s.”
Here are the dates, event themes, hosts and venues:
April 12 / Sunday at The Masters Celebration, hosted by Julie Pratt, Karen Lahovich, and Lisa Lutz at the Palmetto Room on Hilton Head Island.
April 19 / Strikes for Tykes, a Bowling Party, hosted by Amy Bowers Kerri Daye, Mary George, Margie Levis, Peg Stalter, and Susan Strandberg at Riviera Lanes.
April 30 / Celebrate the Place, evening featuring cocktails and heavy appetizers as well as a silent auction, hosted by the Akron Children’s Women’s Board at Akron Children’s.
May 1 /Mayday! Mayday! Save My Serve! hosted by Laurice Moore and Denise Schaffner at the Towpath Tennis Center.
May 7 /Rock, Racquet and Roll Tennis Party, hosted by Neelam Ahmad, Angela Blake and Erin Gelal at the North Canton Racquet Club.
May 14 / May Ladies Night Out, hosted by Kim Moses in Copley.
May 16 / Sip, Snack, Sink a Putt, hosted by Dr. Mark and Becky Adamczyk, Greg and Sue McMains, Dr. Greg and Jodi Vrabec at Fairlawn Country Club.
