Why was the vaccine schedule changed?

The schedule changes (which, as of May 2026, are legally paused) were largely about how recommendations are communicated, with more emphasis on shared decision-making between families and pediatricians. They were not made because of new safety concerns. Vaccines remain safe and effective.
