Food Farmacy opens at Akron Children's Boardman campus

The ribbon was cut on Akron Children's latest Food Farmacy, in partnership with the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley. The Food Farmacy provides food, hygiene items and even children's books about food to patients and families based on screenings for food insecurity screenings and income eligibility. The program places a particular focus on supporting children with chronic health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, food allergies, and cerebral palsy.
