Our physical medicine/rehabilitation physician offers comprehensive management and coordination of non-surgical care. This may include prescriptions for medications, therapy, orthotics, or adaptive devices. In addition, procedures such as ultrasound-guided injections may be performed to help your child’s joints work better and develop properly. Nerve or muscle studies are also helpful in some cases to determine the best treatment plan for your child. If your child would benefit from these procedures, a child-friendly approach is taken with a team specialized in the care of children and may include Child Life specialists or procedural sedation, as needed.
