Dr. Lane is the director of pediatric and adult congenital cardiology and the clinical director of the Akron Children’s Hospital Heart Center. He’s been in practice since 1999 and with Akron Children’s since 2001. After graduating from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, he completed residencies in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and in pediatrics at University Hospitals of Cleveland. He also completed a fellowship in cardiology and pediatric cardiology at University Hospitals. Dr. Lane has a special interest in pediatric cardiology, congenital heart disease in adolescents and adults, cardiac catheterization, interventional catheterization and transesophageal echocardiography. He’s board certified in internal medicine, pediatrics, pediatric cardiology, adult cardiology and adult congenital heart disease. He’s a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and member of the Adult Congenital Heart Association and the International Society of Adult Congenital Heart Disease. Additionally, he’s a researcher, presenter and author of topics related to the heart and serves as a consultant to the professional staff at the Heart and Vascular Institute at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
