Meet Laura G., Parent Mentor at Akron Children's
Laura's Story
My daughter, Jamie, was 8 when she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. This has not ever slowed her down! She plays sports, goes to sleepovers and eats everything in sight! Jamie's favorite part of the year is diabetes camp. If adults would have the attitude about life’s battles that Jamie has, we would all be happier people!
