What's the Eustachian Tube?

Print Page

Eustachian Tube

Say: yoo-STAY-shun

This is one top tube! It runs between the inside of the ear and the throat, and its job is to make sure the pressure is the same on both sides of your eardrum. Have you ever had trouble hearing on an airplane? Try yawning or chewing gum and pop! Your eustachian tube will open and you'll be able to hear normally again.
