How Do I Tell My Parents I Need a Bra?

I'm Starting to Develop Breasts — How Do I Tell My Mom or Dad That I Need a Bra?

Many girls have this question. It can be tough to get up the courage to raise the subject, but if you're ready for a bra, be brave and ask. You might say something to your parent like, "I noticed that I'm starting to develop, so I'd like to get a bra. Can we go shopping?"

You have lots of choices — from the traditional bra with straps to sports bra and tank designs. If you're nervous about buying bras in a local store, maybe you can order a few online first.
