Kawasaki Disease

Say: kow-uh-SAH-kee

Kawasaki disease is pretty rare and usually happens to kids under 5 years old. Kids who have it may have a fever for up to 2 weeks. They have swollen glands and also may have red eyes and cracked lips. Another sign of Kawasaki disease is when the tongue or the bottoms of the feet or palms of the hands swell. Kids with this illness need to get medicine from a doctor.
