Prospective Database Registry Study of Scoliosis in Children with Cerebral Palsy

IRB Study ID: 1618241

The goal of this study is to monitor long term-outcomes of scoliosis patients who receive surgical treatment, and patients who choose not to have surgery.

Who May Qualify:

Patients aged 8-21 years diagnosed with cerebral palsy and scoliosis. Patients may be pursuing spinal fusion surgery or have elected not to pursue surgery.

Who Does NOT Qualify:

Patients with:

  • previous spine surgeries
  • diagnosis of Rett’s syndrome 
  • concomitant lower extremity surgery
  • Cornelia de Lange syndrome or similar pervasive genetic disorders
  • tethered cord
  • spinal muscular atrophy (SMA)
