Dr. Corey Scherer joins Akron Children’s Hospital

Corey Scherer, D.O., has joined Akron Children’s Hospital as a pediatric gastroenterologist.

Dr. Scherer recently completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology and hepatology at Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. He was also a pediatric resident at Akron Children’s Hospital.

He earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania, and a bachelor’s degree from Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.

Dr. Scherer, who will see patients in both Akron and Boardman, resides in Hudson with his wife, Lisa, and two children.
