Akron Children’s Hospital welcomes psychologist Dr. Adriana Nevado

Psychologist Adriana Nevado, Psy.D., has joined Akron Children’s in its Adolescent Medicine department where she is seeing patients in the Eating Disorders Clinic. 

Prior to joining Akron Children’s, Dr. Nevado was a therapist at the Center for Evidence Based Treatment of Ohio in Shaker Heights. She also was a staff psychologist at McLean Hospital 3East Cambridge Residence in Cambridge, Massachusetts, a group leader at Triad Adolescent Services in Lexington, Massachusetts and had her own private practice in Cambridge, Massachusetts. 

Dr. Nevado completed the Beckwitt-Hughey Adolescent DBT Postdoctoral Fellowship at McLean Hospital through Harvard Medical School in Belmont, Massachusetts. She earned her doctorate and master's of science degrees in clinical psychology from the PGSP-Stanford PsyD. Consortium in Palo Alto, California. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from the University of California, Berkeley, in Berkeley, California.  

Dr. Nevado is fluent in Spanish and resides in the greater Cleveland area.
