Pediatric psychologist joins Akron Children’s Mahoning Valley

Kelsey Brocker, Psy.D., has joined Akron Children’s’s Mahoning Valley as a pediatric psychologist.

Dr. Brocker will see patients in Akron Children’s Healthy Active Living Program, which brings together a multi-disciplinary team to care for children and teens diagnosed with childhood obesity and related health issues.

The team also includes a pediatrician, dietitian, exercise physiologist and general pediatric surgeon.

Dr. Brocker will also be available to serve the clinical needs of patients and families in the greater Youngstown area.

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Auburn University, Dr. Brocker earned her master’s degree in clinical health psychology from Mercer University in Atlanta.

She completed her doctoral studies in clinical medical psychology at Mercer University, and then went onto the Community Counseling Center of Mercer County in Hermitage, PA, for her post-doctoral residency and internship.

A native of Savannah, GA., Dr. Brocker resides in Canfield with her husband, two children and two dogs.
