Ryan Nofziger, MD

Dr. Nofziger is a pediatric intensivist at Akron Children’s, where he’s been practicing since 2013. He earned his medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, Ohio and completed a residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC in Pittsburgh, Pa. He went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric critical care at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Nofziger has a special interest in immunobiology of critical illness, data analytics, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and medical education. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics and pediatric critical care. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Nofziger is an associate professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
