MyChart Recurring Payment Plan FAQs

Akron Children’s is launching MyChart Bill Pay. We will be making changes to how payments are set up and processed; therefore, you will need to sign up for a new plan if you wish to continue recurring payments.

MyChart Bill Pay will be available starting Oct. 5. At that time, your current recurring payment plan will be discontinued and you will need to go to to set up a new plan.

When can I sign up for a new recurring payment plan through MyChart?

MyChart Bill Pay will be available starting on Oct. 5.

How do I sign up for a MyChart recurring payment plan?

  1. Log into your MyChart account at
  2. Click on Your Menu (upper left corner of the page).
  3. Click on Billing Summary under the Billing section of the Your Menu page.
  4. Click on Set Up Payment Plan.

I don’t have a MyChart account. Can I still use MyChart bill pay?

Yes, even if you have not yet opened a MyChart account you will have the option to pay as a guest.

Will my payment amount change?

Your payments are based on your current charges, and you may have additional options for payments in MyChart Bill Pay. If you need help with your payment plan, call our customer service team.

What are the requirements for a new payment plan?

Your MyChart Bill Pay recurring payment plan will have a maximum duration of 18 months and a minimum payment of $25. Additional options may be available by calling 1-800-933-7440.  

Will I still receive a paper statement?

MyChart Bill Pay is a paperless system, but you can log in and opt in to receive paper statements.

Can I pay by phone?

Starting in October, our automated and secure payment line, 1-800-933-7440, is available 24/7 to make a credit card payments over the phone.


Is MyChart bill pay available through the MyChart app?

Yes, you can find MyChart Bill Pay in the app. To download the app, visit the Apple or Google Play stores.


Why should I sign up for MyChart bill pay?

In addition to managing your recurring payment plan, MyChart Bill Pay allows you to get real-time updates to your account balance, view details on your accounts and request itemized statements.
