Dr. Aaron Sweeney

Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics welcomes Aaron Sweeney, M.D., to its Boardman offices. The practice – located at 6505 Market Street, Building A – provides pediatric primary care for infants, children and teens.
Dr. Sweeney earned his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Youngstown State University. He completed his residency in pediatrics and his sports medicine fellowship at Akron Children’s Hospital. He currently lives in the North Lima area with his wife and son.
As a result of his training, Dr. Sweeney is both a general pediatrician and a sports medicine physician. His role as a pediatrician allows him to oversee the development of patients and provide care when they are sick. His additional training in sports medicine allows him to care for kids when they become injured in sports or other activities.
In addition to Dr. Sweeney, the Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics care team in Boardman includes Drs. Louis Brine Jr., Stacy Generalovich, Jackie Lickliter and Vida Kaniecki and pediatric nurse practitioners Linda Beilstein, Deanna Bellville, Kathryn Bruno, Jill Gulling, Rachelle Halula, Terry McCaughtry, Mary Pascolini, Denise Stoneman, Megan Tomaino and Sarah Watkins.
