Family Support: Tic Talks at 5 O'Clock

Tic Talks at 5 O'Clock is a teen group for children with TD ages 12-17. The group meets weekly with Dr. Lindsay, a pediatric psychology fellow and the research team from Kent State University’s Pediatric Anxiety Research Clinic weekly between January and April to discuss effective stress management, self-advocacy and chronic disease management using the Children’s Illness and Recovery Program (CHIRP). The parents also meet simultaneously during this time as part of the CHIRP parent support group. This is a great opportunity for teens to meet and problem solve with peers also impacted by TD. Ask your provider for more information.
