Riley Ickes runs the Akron Marathon Relay

A year ago, Riley Ickes had bariatric surgery to help her reach her weight loss and wellness goals. After a year of hard work, Riley celebrated her progress by running the Akron Marathon Relay with her brother, Owen, and some of her Akron Children's Healthy Active Living providers. Riley crossed over the finish line with a smile on her face and tears in her eyes as she ran to hug her crew of supporters who cheered her on along the race. Way to go, Riley!
