Research / Scholarly Activity
Research is encouraged, but not required. Residents have opportunities to pursue research, present at national conferences, and publish their work with faculty mentorship and support.
Residents whose work is accepted for presentation at national meetings may receive up to $3,000 in travel support. Each year, our Resident & Fellow Academic Day provides an opportunity to showcase scholarly work, with monetary awards and the chance to present winning projects at Grand Rounds.
All residents also participate in yearly group Quality Improvement (QI) projects, building skills in improving care and advancing pediatric practice.
